What we collect
We collect the information you give us, including:
- Your email, name, and (if you create an account) login details.
- Your dog's profile: name, breed, age, and personality.
- The photos you upload so we can make your book.
- Your shipping address and order details.
- Anything you send us when you get in touch.
We also collect basic technical and usage information automatically through cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and keep the site working. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
How we create your book (AI)
Your book's story and illustrations are generated using artificial intelligence (AI). To do this, we send the photos and details you provide to third-party AI providers, which process them on our behalf to write and illustrate your book. These providers may use your content only to provide these services to us — we don't permit them to use it for their own purposes, and we don't use your photos to create anything other than your book. By uploading photos, you confirm you have the right to use them and the consent of anyone who appears in them.
How we use it
- To create, print, and ship your book and manage your order.
- To provide support and respond to your messages.
- To send order updates and, if you opt in, occasional product news you can unsubscribe from anytime.
- To keep the site secure and meet our legal obligations.
How we share it
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run our business, such as AI generation (described above), payment processing, printing and shipping, hosting, and email, and only so they can provide those services to us. We may also share it when required by law or as part of a business transfer.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you're a customer and as needed to provide and reorder your book, and longer where required for legal or accounting reasons.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights. To make a request, email hello@fetchandfable.co.
Children
Our service is for adults (18 and over). It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy as our service evolves. When we do, we'll update the date at the top.
